One of the first ROVER Motorcycles - the 2,25 hp, from ca. 1902 - 1904.
The above image is the only known portrait of the ROVER 2,25 hp Motorcycle.
The text accompanying the illustration reads: Rover came up with a state-of-the-art float-fed spray carburettor. The back-pedal rear band brake was complemented by a front rim brake.
Nothing else is known about this Motorcycle.
I think it is safe to assume that the specifications did not differ significantly from those of the subsequent 3 hp model - except for the engines.
