The 1930s

The 'Streamline' models are no longer available. Obviously they were only a short-lived fashion - appearance, not only with ROVER. But details of these models can also be found in the new bodies.

1938 - 1940 10 hp "Ten"

As the last model of the model group 'P2' the smallest car is renewed on the body side. First the coupé model 1938 is launched, while the Saloon replaces its 'P1' predecessor only in 1939.

1937 - 1940 12 hp "Twelve"

The 12hp is continued as 'Saloon' and as 'Sports Saloon'. The bodies differ only marginally from the more powerful models.

1937 - 1940 14 hp "Fourteen"

Also the 14hp comes with the body versions 'Saloon' and 'Sports Saloon' on the market. From 1939, 'Tickford' also produced the 'Drophead Coupé'.

Saloon' and 'Sports Saloon' - also for the 16hp these two body shapes are available from 1937. From 1939 it can also be delivered as 'Drophead Coupé' from Tickford production.

1937 - 1940 20 hp "Twenty"

1937 comes after a long time again a 20hp as 'Speed Model' on the market. From 1938 the car is called 20hp 'Sports Saloon' - a 'Saloon' model is not on the market.

1938 - 1940 The "Drophead" - Coupés

From 1938, Tickford built beautiful 'Drophead' coupés for Rover on the 14hp, 16hp and 20hp chassis, which Rover included in its catalogues. Since they differ only in the motorisation, they are described as a whole.
